Details Home health setting providing in-home nursing care Day shift, 5x8-hour schedule (8:00 AM-5:00 PM) Required to work every other weekend On-call responsibility of 1 day per month May float to Stanislaus, San Joaquin, and Merced counties Epic EMR used for charting and documentation Requirements Active CA RN license required Current BLS certification required (AHA or ARC) Minimum 2 years of home health nursing experience required Prior charge nurse experience required Travel healthcare experience required Epic charting system experience required Skilled in phlebotomy, IV management, and administration of blood/blood products Experienced in care and management of peripheral IVs, central lines, and ports Knowledgeable in wound care, ostomy/catheter management, and medication administration across multiple routes Nursys license verification and applicable certifications with valid expiration dates required for consideration Two supervisor references obtained within the past year required for consideration Additional Information Responsible for assessment, coordination, delivery, and evaluation of in-home nursing care for adult patients Provides direct patient care, patient/family education, and support during transitions of care Develops and manages individualized, holistic interdisciplinary care plans addressing psychological, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors Maintains collaborative communication with patients, families, physicians, and other healthcare providers Adheres to OASIS documentation standards, infection control precautions, and industry best practices Must reside within a 50-mile radius to be eligible for the local rate Returning employees must have a minimum 1-year separation before returning as a traveler Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, with only 1 holiday request approved per contract Observed holidays include New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Must complete lab work within 3-5 days of contract signing 7-year work history verification required for all candidates American Traveler Job ID P-738859.
