RN, Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Employment Type & Shift Full time – Rotating shift. Position Purpose The surgery department at Mount Carmel, Dublin, has four operating rooms, a GI procedural room, a non-invasive cardiac lab, and a cardiac and interventional radiology suite. Multiple service lines will be supported at this campus, including robotics, general, GYN, urology, and orthopedics, while focusing on exceptional patient experience and evidence-based practice. Staff includes surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nurse leaders who demonstrate excellent teamwork and collaboration. Key Responsibilities Provide nursing care, ensuring an environment of patient safety, and promote evidence-based practice and quality initiatives. Assess and evaluate patient care for an assigned group of patients, using evidence-based practice. Collaborate with patient and family to develop and implement a plan of care that includes physical, spiritual, and educational components. Accurately communicate pertinent information to appropriate team members in a timely manner; keep patient/family apprised. Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and completely in accordance with documentation standards, policies, procedures, and guidelines. Assume responsibility and accountability for care provided and documented by other licensed and unlicensed caregivers as appropriate. Minimum Qualifications Education: Graduate from a nursing school. Licensure / Certification: Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio. Experience: For casual RNs, 2 years of experience is required. All new graduate nurses with less than one year of clinical experience are subject to participation in the Nurse Residency Program and will be automatically enrolled.
