Payroll Accountant

Payroll Accountant LHH Recruitment Solutions is looking for a Payroll Accountant for one of our customers located in Santa Clara, California. This position is 100% in-office! The ideal candidate will have strong payroll skills and have excellent general ledger abilities. This position will report to the Finance Manager and be a part of a small team. The role be responsible for managing a biweekly payroll in Paycom, supporting general ledger month and year-end close processes, balance sheet reconciliations, assist with the audit preparation, and support with other duties in the accounting department as well as assigned projects. Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree or Associates Degree preferably in Accounting, Finance or related field is required Payroll experience comfortable processing a biweekly payroll Solid payroll foundation understanding Payroll Tax Regulations, Labor Cost Allocations, California Labor Laws Comfortable with your debits and credits and GAAPs (reconciliations, journal entries, month-end close) Industry experience in a Non‑Profit or Government Agency would be nice to have Payroll software experience with Paycom preferred. Proficiency with a third party payroll software platform such as ADP, Paylocity, UKG is good Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, Outlook, Excel Intermediate/Advanced) Excellent communications (verbal & written) Detailed, reliable, organized, and confidential Team player, able to multi‑task, prioritize, gets the work done with a positive attitude Experience: 5 plus of payroll experience and 2 years of general ledger accounting experience (Payroll Accountant, Payroll Specialist, Payroll Manager) Employment Type: Direct Hire Benefits: Medical Benefits, Dental, Vision, 401k, PTO, Holiday Pay Pay Details: $90,000.00 to $100,000.00 per year Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled Military connected talent encouraged to apply #J-18808-Ljbffr LHH
