Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical (Ortho/Neuro/Peds)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13-Week Assignment | Nights | 4x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Every Other Weekend | Possible Extension

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical floor with an Orthopedic, Neurological, and Pediatric patient population
• Perform IV starts and manage intermediate-level patient monitoring
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes
• Complete required pre-start modules via HealthStream prior to assignment start

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required; must be in good standing
• Minimum of one (1) year of recent Medical Surgical experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Proficiency in IV starts and intermediate-level patient monitoring
• Minimal time-off requests; especially around holidays
• Royal Blue scrubs required (not provided)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Experience in Orthopedic, Neurological, or Pediatric patient care settings
