The Warehouse Packaging Associate carefully packages delicate and large products, prepares orders for shipment, and helps maintain accurate inventory records in a fast-paced warehouse environment. This role combines hands-on packaging, basic shipping and receiving tasks, and inventory tracking using RF scanners and computer systems to ensure products are protected, documented, and shipped on time.

Responsibilities

• Package delicate and large pieces using bubble wrap and other protective materials to prevent damage during transport.
• Assemble and pack boxes securely, ensuring all items are properly protected and labeled.
• Move boxes and materials safely throughout the warehouse as needed.
• Read and interpret order sheets to verify product types, quantities, and shipping requirements.
• Pull supplies and products accurately to fulfill customer orders.
• Organize warehouse inventory and maintain an orderly work area.
• Track incoming and outgoing inventory, ensuring all items are recorded accurately in the system.
• Perform basic shipping and receiving duties using UPS and FedEx shipping systems.
• Print and apply labels and shipping documentation to outgoing packages.
• Use RF scanners to perform inventory tasks such as order picking, cycle counts, and inventory updates.
• Assist with material handling tasks including loading, unloading, picking, and palletizing as needed.
• Operate pallet jacks and other basic warehouse equipment safely.
• Perform general labor and production support tasks related to packing and material handling.
• Support crate building, shrink wrapping, and securing products for shipment when required.
• Monitor timelines and help ensure orders are processed and shipped in a timely manner.

Essential Skills

• Proven experience in packaging materials and products in a warehouse or similar environment.
• Experience tracking inventory coming in and out of a facility.
• RF scanning experience for inventory management and order picking.
• Hands-on shipping and receiving experience.
• Basic computer skills with the ability to enter inventory and order information into a system.
• Ability to read and follow order sheets and shipping documentation accurately.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs (not repetitively) and perform physical tasks such as moving boxes and materials.
• Familiarity with general warehouse tasks including picking, packing, loading, and material handling.
• Knowledge of basic cycle counts and inventory control practices.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Stand-up forklift experience is a plus but not required.
• Experience with shrink wrap and crate building is beneficial.
• In general production, assembly, or material handling is helpful.
• Ability to use pallet jacks and other basic warehouse equipment.
• Attention to detail and care when handling delicate and large items.
• Strong organizational skills to help maintain an orderly warehouse and accurate inventory.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.

Work Environment

The role is based in a basic, clean warehouse environment that includes warehouse and assembly departments and supports various production activities such as general production, FM, NPI, and medical production. You will work in a fast-paced and upbeat setting with an average team size of 1525 employees. The standard schedule is Monday through Friday, approximately 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with hours that may vary depending on business needs and some overtime required. Work involves standing, walking, lifting up to 75 lbs (not repetitively), and performing general warehouse and material handling tasks using RF scanners, pallet jacks, and standard packaging and shipping equipment, including UPS and FedEx systems. Attire is typical for a warehouse setting, suitable for physical work and safety requirements.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
