Job Title: Operating Room Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse (RN) Specialty: Operating Room (OR) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Monday - Thursday Hours per Shift: 10 hours (8:30 PM - 7:00 AM) Experience: Minimum of 24 months of current operating room experience required. License: Active Iowa/IA license or compact/multistate license required. Certifications: Current BLS certification from AHA required. Must-Have: - 24 months of current operating room experience (hospital/medical center experience prioritized). - Experience in circulating and operating room procedures required. - Scrub experience highly preferred. - Proficiency in cases including General, Davinci Robotics, Pediatrics, and Trauma required. - Additional experience in Client, Orthopedics (primarily trauma), Gynecology, Urology, Transplants, Plastics, Ear, Nose, and Throat, and Vascular highly preferred. - EPIC electronic medical record experience within the previous 3 years required. - Trauma Level I experience highly preferred; Trauma Level II experience required. - No first-time travelers; must have completed a travel assignment within the previous 9 months. Description: We are currently seeking an experienced Operating Room Nurse for a travel assignment. The schedule is for night shifts from Monday to Thursday. You will work 10-hour shifts starting at 8:30 PM and ending at 7:00 AM. As a Level 1 trauma center, the expected patient ratios are 1:1. You will be working in an environment with an average caseload of 35-50 cases per day. The expectation for turnovers is less than 20 minutes. You will utilize advanced surgical equipment, including 3 Davinci robots. Experience with Stealth technology for Neuro navigation and familiarity with Synthes or Stryker for orthopedic trauma is necessary. Candidates should be prepared to work across multiple campuses and float as needed. Additional responsibilities may include participating in holiday rotations and on-call duties.
