Mobile Dog Groomer Location: Manatee and Sarasota Counties, Florida Employment Type: W-2 | Full-Time and Part-Time Estimated Full-Time Earnings: $50,000–$100,000 annually, including commission and tips About the Position Howling Hounds Dog Grooming provides calm, one-on-one, cage-free grooming at our clients’ homes. Our groomers work independently in fully equipped, climate-controlled vans while our team handles scheduling, routing and client support. This position is ideal for an experienced groomer who wants to focus on quality work without the noise and overbooking of a traditional salon. What We Offer Commission-based W-2 employment plus 100% of client tips Consistent appointments and established routes Full-time and part-time schedules established in advance Fully equipped, climate-controlled grooming van Sharpening allowance Paid training and continuing education Paid time off and health insurance contribution for eligible employees Company-paid trade-show opportunities when approved Responsibilities Groom an average of 4–8 dogs per day based on the agreed-upon schedule, services and route Perform bathing, drying, brushing, de-shedding, haircuts, nail care, ear cleaning and other included services Safely handle dogs of various sizes, breeds and temperaments Communicate professionally with clients and maintain accurate grooming notes Safely operate, clean and restock the company grooming van Reliably complete assigned appointments while following company safety and service standards Qualifications At least one year of professional grooming experience or completion of a professional grooming certification program Strong grooming, dog-handling, customer-service and time-management skills Comfortable grooming larger dogs that meet our mobile-grooming suitability requirements Valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record Reliable transportation to and from the van-storage location Ability to stand, bend, reach and perform repetitive grooming tasks throughout the workday Must pass applicable background and pre-employment drug screenings About Howling Hounds Howling Hounds Dog Grooming provides an all-inclusive mobile grooming experience designed around each dog’s comfort and safety.
