Job Description Looking for Product Safety Engineer that has working knowledge within IEC 62368-1 & IEC 61010-1 and some of its collateral. The engineer should be able to demonstrate working knowledge within the standards identified above. The project engineer should be able to work independently with some guidance as needed on a variety of products to the requirements of U.S., Canadian and other international product safety standards; writing reports; and communicating with clients. Employee Standards Support department objectives and company goals Be a team player Sustain a positive, enthusiastic and professional attitude always Accommodate requests with a smile and “let me see what I can do” attitude Adhere to manager directives Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor Perform all duties in a timely, accurate, honest and professional manner Tasks/Responsibilities Require standard knowledge needed IEC 62368-1 and or IEC 61010-1 Engineer should be able to prepare test plans & execute on testing Engineer should be able to fill in their TRF pertaining to the above standards. Guidance will be provided as needed from senior engineers and management Read and determine applicability of national codes and standards clauses for the EUT (equipment under test) Test products in accordance with standards and requirements. Core tests include, but are not limited to power input, leakage current, dielectric, temperature, stability, mechanical hazards, flammability, abnormal and single fault, IP testing and others as applicable per project and compliance requirements Read and understand schematics and manufacturing instructions Identify and locate test instruments and equipment required for testing and project execution Perform preliminary design reviews (PDR) as they grow in their career Communication with customers & sales on project status Minimum Educational Qualifications Four‑year college degree – Engineering discipline or equivalent work experience Minimum Qualifications Minimum 1 to 4 years of product safety experience in testing, inspection and certification / NRTL lab is required IEC 60601-1 & IEC 62368-1 required The ability to travel as business needs dictate up to 15% A valid driver's license is required Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship The Ideal Candidate Possesses The Following Ability to maintain confidentiality Ability to be receptive to and accept guidance from others Ability to deal with difficult people and problems Able to work well in a team environment Able to work in a diverse group of people Attention to detail Ability to multi‑task and prioritize assignments Professional appearance Willing to travel Physical Demands Able to sit (or stand) for long periods of time Able to lift up to 30 pounds Compensation Salary: $75,000 – $100,000 Schedule Monday‑Friday 8:30am – 5:00pm What We Offer Excellent full‑time benefits including comprehensive medical coverage, dental, and vision options Life and disability insurance 401(k) with company match Paid vacation and holidays EEO Statement Eurofins USA Consumer Product Testing is a Disabled and Veteran Equal Employment Opportunity employer. #J-18808-Ljbffr Eurofins
