Shipping Clerk  
Location: Huntersville, NC 28078
Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour
Schedule: Nights, Friday-Sunday, 6:00pm-6:00am
Job Type: Temp-to-Hire

Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to support shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations at a manufacturing facility in Huntersville, NC. This role is responsible for checking in drivers, verifying shipping paperwork, preparing shipping documents, maintaining accurate records in SAP, and coordinating with multiple departments to ensure shipments and deliveries are processed efficiently.

Responsibilities:

• Check in incoming and outgoing drivers, review paperwork, and coordinate delivery and pickup appointments.
• Prepare and process shipping and receiving documents to support daily warehouse operations.
• Enter, update, and maintain customer, vendor, inventory, and shipping records in SAP.
• Generate customer reports related to inventory, finished goods, and other shipping activities.
• Coordinate with warehouse and other departments to manage incoming packages and deliveries.
• Maintain organized electronic and physical files, including confidential business records and documentation.
• Verify information for accuracy and promptly address discrepancies in paperwork or data.
• Follow all company policies and procedures, including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), personal protective equipment (PPE), and food safety requirements.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience with SAP Business One or similar inventory management software preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel. Experience with Access is a plus.
• Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Good math, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• English proficiency – reading, understanding, speaking, and writing. Additional language skills are a plus.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
• Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, multitask, and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
• Consistent work history demonstrating reliability and dependability.  
• Ability to occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, reach, and use hands to handle paperwork, equipment, and computer controls as needed.

Additional Work Schedule Information:

• Training schedule – Days | Monday – Friday | 6:00 am – 6:00 pm
• Friday – Sunday shift employees are currently being offered the option to work an additional day on Monday. This is not a requirement.
