Experience an impactful contract opportunity supporting students in their early educational journey as a School Psychologist for a PreK-2nd grade setting. This short-term assignment, covering a maternity leave from August 31st through November 2026, offers the chance to make a meaningful difference during a crucial stage in children’s development.
Your expertise will be instrumental in conducting psychological evaluations, managing a counseling caseload, and finalizing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Your role will also involve collaborating as a vital member of the crisis intervention team, providing essential support to students and staff alike.
What you'll need to succeed:
- Valid certification as a School Psychologist
- Previous experience in a school setting, ideally with early childhood or elementary students
- Strong background in evaluations, counseling procedures, and IEP development
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Experience or interest in crisis interventions is highly valued
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Conducting comprehensive psychological and educational assessments
- Running individual or small-group counseling sessions
- Working with teachers and families to finalize and implement IEPs
- Participating actively in crisis intervention and support when needed
- Maintaining meticulous records and producing high-quality reports
