Travel Speech Language Pathologist - $2,197 per week

Job Summary Travel Speech Language Pathologist assignment in Pleasant Hill, California. 13‑week contract starting ASAP, 40 hours per week on 8‑hour days. Travel employment. Location Facility in Pleasant Hill, California. Responsibilities Utilize standardized assessments and clinical observation to evaluate speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders across a diverse patient population. Design personalized therapy programs based on evaluation findings, patient goals, and evidence‑based practices. Continuously assess patient progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and maintain detailed, accurate documentation in the electronic medical record. Educate patients, families, and caregivers on effective communication strategies, home‑based exercises, and safe swallowing practices, while offering supportive counseling as required. Work in conjunction with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate a comprehensive approach to patient care. Maintain a safe treatment environment by adhering to infection control protocols, safety guidelines, and regulatory standards while addressing patients’ comfort needs during therapy sessions. Engage in quality assurance initiatives and professional development activities to remain current with best practices in speech language therapy. Perform other duties as assigned within scope of practice. Qualifications Required Valid Speech Language Pathologist license in compliance with state regulations. Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC). Preferred Master’s Degree or higher in Speech Language Pathology. Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech‑Language Pathology. Experience in speech language pathology; new graduates are welcomed. Other certifications or licenses may be required for this position. Essential Skills Critical thinking, service excellence, and strong interpersonal communication skills. Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English. Ability to read and comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills. Physical abilities: remain stationary, move equipment 50‑100 lbs, push, pull, bend. Interpersonal skills: work effectively with a variety of personnel, present a positive attitude and professionalism. Technical/motor skills: perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move around while assisting procedures or using equipment. Mental requirements: handle frequent public contact, meet deadlines under pressure, work under occasional supervision. Sensory: visual acuity and effective communication.
