Machine Operator

Responsibilities Operate band saws to cut steel materials according to specifications. Drive and operate sit-down forklifts safely and efficiently. Perform visual quality control inspections to ensure the accuracy and quality of the cut materials. Maintain the processing equipment in a safe and clean condition. Ensure the processing area is kept clean, safe, and orderly. Accurately complete all required information entries. Apply metal to customer orders and process material according to work order specifications. Learn to operate aluminum saws ranging from 4'-20' long cuts for cutting materials from .019 to 10". Participate in classroom training and hands-on training with experienced trainers. Previous experience using a band saw for cutting steel. Ability and experience in operating a sit-down forklift. Proficiency in reading a tape measure. Strong attention to detail and ability to work on your feet. Good paperwork skills and understanding of chain of custody. Available Shifts: 1st: 4:00AM - 2:30Pm Monday - Thursday 6:00AM - 2:30PM Monday - Friday 2nd: 2:15PM - 12:45AM Monday - Thursday 12:15PM - 8:45PM Monday - Friday 12:00PM - 10:30M - Monday - Thursday 3rd: 4:00AM - 4:30PM Friday - Saturday 4:00AM - 2:30PM Friday - Monday Pay: $22.50 - 26.15/hr (depending on experience and shift) Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Auburn, WA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.15 - $26.15/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
