GENERAL PURPOSE

The Enterprise Systems Management Engineer II is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise-scale IT systems that support critical business operations. This includes ensuring high availability, performance, and security across servers, applications, and infrastructure, as well as managing and maintaining batch scheduling infrastructure to support automated job processing, workflows, and data integrations. The ESM engineer will monitor system health, troubleshoot issues, and optimize processes to keep enterprise services running reliably and efficiently.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

•    Analyze operational, system and application needs, determine and evaluate potential solutions, develop system specifications and requirements, and implement solutions to meet the requirements following industry best practices. 
•    Ensure that current and planned technical solutions are compatible with the company's business needs and strategic objectives. 
•    Work with the other IT organizations to design, develop, and implement Enterprise Systems solutions in support of development, test, and production environments.
•    Provide technical expertise and assistance to other IT groups.
•    Collaborate with others throughout IT to ensure timely and successful issue resolution.

QUALIFICATIONS & SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED

•    7-10 years of experience in Enterprise Tools system design, implementation, and 3rd level support activities
•    Experience installing, configuring, and administering systems management and observability software tools such as BMC Control-M, Splunk, Dynatrace.
•    Experience using and administering platform specific management tools such as Oracle Cloud Control, HP OneView.
•    Experience with deploying observability and job scheduling solutions to cloud technologies, preferably Azure.
•    Strong understanding of networking principles and topologies.
•    Experience with enterprise job scheduling tools such as BMC Control-M.
•    Experience with DevOps methodologies.
•    Experience with orchestration and automation tools such as Ansible.
•    Experience with PowerShell and/or other scripting tools.
•    Experience integrating with ServiceNow or other ITSM and CMDB applications.
•    Excellent organizational and time management skills.
•    Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
•    Good communication skills are essential.
•    Able to work independently and creatively solve complex technical problems.
•    Able to provide guidance and training to others.
•    Able to provide accurate estimates of time frames and cost estimates necessary to complete potential projects and develop milestones and project implementation plans.

EDUCATION / CERTIFICATIONS

•    Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

The base pay range for this role $113,200.00 to $195,000.00. The base pay range is dependent on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, qualifications, relevant education, certifications, seniority, and location. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other rewards vary by position and location.
