About the Position

DCH - Travel: MS/Tele General Surg 5S Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals. Will accept 36 or 48 hours per week. HOLIDAYS AS REQUIRED. EVERY OTHER WEEKEND Our General Surgical Unit is a 32-bed unit specializing in exceptional postoperative care for our general surgical patients. Nurses in this area have a 1:6 ratio and are trained in all aspects of postoperative care, including pain management, mobility, and bedside procedures. In this area, we especially value a comfortable and healing environment for each individual patient and their unique needs. This team will closely collaborate with local family practice physicians, hospitalists, as well as our surgeons. Education - Required Associated degree in nursing Certifications – Required AHA BLS OR RED CROSS Licenses – Required Registered Nurse State of Alabama or compact license (No Temp Licenses' accepted) NURSYS Experience - Required: 2 years’ experience; however, will consider 18 months of experience, working under the highest level of professional license, and must have 1 year of RECENT experience in the field of specialty.
