Mechatronics & Robotics Technician – JLL We are looking for a Mechatronics & Robotics Technician to support the Operations Maintenance team in repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems throughout the building. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing automated packaging and distribution equipment, providing mentorship to junior technicians, and ensuring a safe working environment. Responsibilities Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures. Complete preventative maintenance routines with proper documentation. Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to all Material Handling Equipment (MHE) including belts, motors, photo‑eyes, relays, and more. Maintain a positive working relationship across all the Operations facility. Track and store department inventory. Move up to 49 lbs, stand, and walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours with or without reasonable accommodation. Travel up to 20% as needed. Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to work flexible schedules/shifts/areas, including weekends, nights and/or holidays. 2+ years of experience in the repair of material handling equipment. 2+ years of experience conducting predictive and preventative maintenance procedures. Candidate must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship. Position does not provide visa sponsorship. Preferred Qualifications Associate's or higher degree from a vocational school or college focusing in Mechanical or Electrical field. 2+ years of experience with automated conveyor systems and controls. 1+ year of blueprint and electrical schematic reading. 1+ year of knowledge with electrical and electronic principles. Experience with Material Handling Equipment (MHE) safety standards according to OEM and safety standards. Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Experience with robotic or electromechanical operation and maintenance. Ability to troubleshoot basic input and output functions. Physical Demands Repetitive bending, crouching, kneeling, reaching, twisting, sitting, standing, and walking. Lifting parts and tools weighing on average 20 lbs, occasionally up to 49 lbs. Dexterity in eye/hand coordination, foot (foot pedals), manual (picking, pinching, holding, grasping), and wrist motion (repetitive flexion/rotation). Working conditions may include small spaces, dust, fumes/odors, hot/cold temperatures, inside/outside noise, vibration, standing on concrete for long hours, wet or uneven surfaces. Standing/walking on concrete surfaces for 10+ hour shifts. Working at heights as needed. Pushing/pulling wheeled equipment and carts up to 100+ lbs. Maneuvering awkward or bulky equipment parts. Working in cramped positions under/behind machinery. Location and Compensation On-site – Niagara Falls, NY Estimated compensation: $56,908.00 – $56,908.80 USD per year. This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
