Overview Pay starts at $34.82/hr and will commensurate with experience. Diabetes‑focused nurse in our Endocrinology Clinic, cross‑trained to see both endocrinology and diabetes patients. Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–4:30 p.m. (No weekends). Must travel to Endocrinology – Worthington. Job Description The role includes in‑clinic patient care and back‑office triage (phone calls, MyChart messages, forms, medication refills, labs, prior authorizations). Duties may change based on departmental needs and new workflows. The employee may float to other clinics and provide support at off‑site Endocrinology clinics as needed. Essential Functions Provides nursing care using a Family Centered approach. Assesses individualized patient needs and plans, implements, educates and evaluates care using Evidence‑Based Practices. Ensures clinic processes and workflows comply with regulatory and policy compliance. Works closely with providers and other team members to ensure smooth clinic flow, address patient/parent concerns, and attain positive outcomes. Documents according to organizational standards, policies, and procedures. Engages in the workplace community by staying aware of changes, participating in data collection or auditing, understanding Quality Improvement, representing staff at relevant meetings, and reporting updates back to staff. Education Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited school, required. Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing is preferred; must complete BSN within 5 years of start date. Licensure Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio, required. Certifications Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association, required. Experience Three years of pediatric clinical experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience, preferred. Physical Requirements Occasionally: Biohazard waste, climb stairs/ladder, color vision, driving motor vehicles (work required), electricity, fumes/gases/vapors, lifting/carrying 41–60 lbs, loud noises, machinery, power tools, pushing/pulling 100 lbs or greater with assistance, pushing/pulling 61–100 lbs, seeing – far/near. Frequently: Bend/twist, blood and/or bodily fluids, chemicals/medications, communicable diseases, depth perception, flexing/extending of neck, hand use (grasping, gripping, turning), patient equipment, peripheral vision, pushing/pulling 0–25 lbs, 26–40 lbs, 41–60 lbs, reaching above shoulder, sitting, squat/kneel. Continuously: Audible speech, computer skills, decision making, hearing acuity, interpreting data, lifting/carrying 0–10 lbs, 11–20 lbs, 21–40 lbs, problem solving, repetitive hand/arm use, standing, walking.
