Shipping & Receiving Coordinator

The Shipping & Receiving Coordinator performs daily shipping, receiving, and inventory activities to ensure the accurate and timely movement of materials. This role also guides the daily work of the department, prioritizes tasks, and supports efficient, safe, and accurate operations.

Essential Functions:

• Works with operations and assists planning with coordination of incoming and outgoing shipments
• Provide inventory management support: part numbers, balances, physical inventory, cycle counts and reports
• Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records
• Prepares shipments for conveyance; determining the most economical and efficient shipping method, selects appropriate shipping containers and packs items to ensure safe delivery
• Compares quotes from various carriers to determine the best choice based on price, transit time, and performance history
• Maintain and update shipping and delivery logs
• Answer internal team and customer inquiries regarding shipping and tracking questions
• Operates lift truck or uses hand truck to move or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage or work area
• Perform other related duties or responsibilities as requested or required.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Must be a "U.S. Person" as defined by the U.S. Government and able to work without restrictions with ITAR related data
• High School Diploma or G.E.D required
• 5+ years of experience in shipping and receiving, aerospace preferred

• Ability to interpret policies, procedures, and standard business practices.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English at a functional level.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word)
• Ability to travel 5-10% when required.
