Travel Registered Nurse – Medical/Surgical (Nights)

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | 36 Guaranteed Hours per Week | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical/Surgical floor serving an adult population with diagnoses including sepsis, pneumonia, heart failure, renal failure, and post-operative conditions (back, joint, and general surgeries)
• Manage a patient assignment of 4–6 patients per shift within a 32-bed unit with a typical census of 10–20 patients
• Operate and monitor patients using Baxter IV pumps and GE monitoring equipment
• Document patient care accurately using Meditech electronic health records
• Rotate into every third weekend as part of standard scheduling expectations
• Float as a sitter to the Senior Behavioral Health Unit or ICU on a rare, as-needed basis

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of Medical/Surgical nursing experience
• Current BLS certification
• Proficiency with Meditech EHR
• Ability to work night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) including rotating weekends
• Flexible, team-oriented approach to patient care

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS certification
• Experience with post-surgical patient populations
• Familiarity with Baxter IV pumps and GE monitoring equipment
