Overview
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced distribution center. The ideal candidate will have experience in heavy equipment operation and a strong understanding of materials handling processes. This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient movement of goods within our facility, contributing to our overall operational success.

Duties

• Operate forklifts and other heavy equipment to transport materials and products throughout the distribution center.
• Perform shipping and receiving tasks, including loading and unloading trucks.
• Utilize RF scanners to track inventory and manage stock levels accurately.
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure safety and compliance with OSHA regulations.
• Assist in building pallets and preparing shipments for delivery.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain an organized and efficient work environment.
• Execute heavy lifting tasks as required, ensuring proper techniques are used to prevent injury.

Requirements

• Proven experience in heavy equipment operation, particularly with forklifts.
• Familiarity with distribution center operations and materials handling practices.
• Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues.
• Ability to lift heavy objects safely and efficiently.
• Experience with shipping and receiving processes is preferred.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to forklift operation.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
