External Job Description
All Ways Caring HomeCare is looking for someone like you to join our team! As a Direct Support Professional you will play a crucial role in helping us provide compassionate care to our clients in the comfort of their homes.
- Performing personal care tasks including assistance with basic personal hygiene and grooming feeding and ambulation medical monitoring and health care related tasks
- Fostering positive relationships between individuals served and their circle of support.
- Encouraging self-help activities
- Implements Individual Service Plan and Behavior Support Plans
- Manage Individuals behaviors by prevention or de-escalation of aggression.
- Keeps accurate daily documentation of activities fire/ disaster drills Behavior Support Plans medications goal and data tracking as well as other documentation.
- Transport individuals to and from community activities and medical appointments.
- Transporting clients or running errands for clients
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Eighteen years of age or older
- Pass background check
- Drivers license with v alid Auto Insurance
- High school diploma/GED
- Direct Support Professional (DSP) certification; or Copy of high school diploma/transcript or General Education Development (GED) diploma; and at least six (6) months of experience providing behavioral health related services to individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (I/DD) or documented experience providing specific supports to individuals with disabilities
