Key Responsibilities Participate in mental health and medical rounds to evaluate client needs and treatment plans collaboratively. Engage in case conferences to tailor individualized treatment strategies for your clients and discuss progress. Conduct thorough mental health evaluations, crisis interventions, and follow-up care to ensure continuity of care. Perform psychological testing, if assigned, to guide clinical decisions and refine treatment approaches. Coordinate discharge planning services with Reentry Social Workers, ensuring a seamless transition for patients returning to their communities. Document all clinical activities accurately and timely, complying with state, federal, and organizational guidelines. Lead and facilitate group therapy sessions, emphasizing skill-building and emotional support in a structured environment. Work closely with the Department of Correction to ensure comprehensive care coordination for patients needing supportive housing and treatment. Engage in weekly clinical supervision to enhance your skills and pursue ongoing professional development. Patient Population / Client Focus This role primarily focuses on children and teenagers, providing therapeutic support tailored to their unique mental health needs. Clients may face a range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and family dynamics. Your expertise as an LMFT will be instrumental in guiding them through their emotional struggles while fostering a safe therapeutic environment conducive to open dialogue and healing. Qualifications A Master’s or Doctorate degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related mental health field is required. Current licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of California is mandatory. Strong clinical skills with the ability to establish rapport and build trust with clients from diverse backgrounds. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a commitment to fostering a positive therapeutic alliance. Compensation and Benefits Selfcare Space offers a competitive annual salary range of $52,000 to $70,000 for this full-time role, reflecting experience and qualifications.
