Doctor of Medicine | Surgery - Cardiothoracic Location: Springfield, OH Employer: Adelphi Locums Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Start Date: ASAP About the Position JOB OVERVIEW Profession: Physician Specialty: Cardiothoracic Surgery Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Springfield, Ohio Service Setting: Inpatient Coverage Type: Clinical + Call Coverage Period: May 29, 2026 – Ongoing Shift Schedule: 24-hour call (7a-7a); Mon – Fri clinic 7a – 4p Reason for Coverage: Physician medical emergency Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance Covered PATIENT INFORMATION Patient Demographics: Adult 100% Case Mix: Cardiothoracic, Vascular, General Thoracic FACILITY INFORMATION No. of Beds in Department: 250 total beds, 60 ICU beds EMR System: EPIC Office Equipment Available: Onsite lab and X-ray Support Staff Available: APPs REQUIRED PROCEDURES General CV/Thoracic/Vascular Surgeries Coronary artery bypass surgery Congential defects Valvular repair/replacements Aneurysm repair Lung resection (including VATs) Chest wall/pleural procedures Esophagus/diaphragm surgeries Endarterectomy (Carotid & Renal) Ventilation management Bronchoscopy Evaluation & management of acute vol/BP issues JOB REQUIREMENTS Board: BC in Thoracic and Cardiac Surgery Licenses: Active OH state license or Universal License (IMLC) with LOQ in hand Certifications: ACLS, BLS Experience: Vascular surgery experience preferred Other Qualifications: Clean malpractice/background; team-based care experience Duties & Responsibilities Provide call coverage for cardiothoracic/vascular surgery patients Assist in office/clinic setting during weekdays Perform surgical procedures including bypass, valve repair, lung resection, and vascular surgeries Manage acute volume and blood pressure issues perioperatively Document patient encounters and procedures in EPIC
