Compounders add raw materials and follow the formula requirements to complete production orders using equipment such as mixers, spray dryers and blending tanks. They must follow standard batch instructions to accurately weigh dyes, chemicals, and other substances into the equipment. They must check for consistency in various batches and measure the viscosity of the mixtures. Compounders are required to take samples of the batch and turn them over to a laboratory for testing. They must follow food safety guidelines and accurate documentation of work completed./ph3How You Will Contribute/h3pJob Responsibilities/pulliFollow standard batching instructions to measure or weigh ingredients./liliLifting of heavy drums and bags while wearing proper PPE./liliTransfer materials, set up equipment, utilize piping and parts efficiently/liliStrictly follow detailed instructions to monitor equipment, control temperatures and consistency of the mixes./liliWork in a fast-paced environment able to multi-task and perform under pressure while remaining flexible./liliSample and test for various attributes from the mixes after completion./liliFollow sanitary guidelines for CIP and cleaning./liliFilling out necessary paperwork and batch sheets that accompany mixes compounded./liliConsistently perform assigned duties in a safe manner and in accordance with the companys safety policies./liliConsistently perform and complete assigned duties without errors or other defects./li/ulpQualifications and Skill Requirements/pulliHS Diploma/GED Preferred/liliMust have a general knowledge of workplace safety and quality processes including GMPs Allergens/liliMust follow safety requirements and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including steel-toed shoes, safety goggles and a mask as necessary/liliAttention to detail and ability to perform basic mathematics required/liliProblem solve and communicate when something is wrong and to recognize/report the problem/liliWhen required for the position, the employee must be able to wear a respirator with Doctors approval and successfully passing the respiratory and pulmonary function testing/liliAbility to:/liulliManually lift 50 lbs. continuously when necessary/liliLearn and consistently follow operational and cleaning procedures/liliLearn and consistently complete required documentation and record-keeping requirements/liliWork overtime when necessary/li/ulliAbility to use and read scales, accurate tare and recognize unit of measure requirements./liliBasic computer skills with RF scanner experience preferred/liliAbility to manually lift 50 lbs. continuously when necessary/li/ulpStarting Pay: $19.00/hr/ppThe actual compensation that you will be offered will depend on a variety of factors including geography, skills and abilities, education, experience and other relevant factors.
