Travel RN Neuro Med Surg - 7P-7A

Location: Arlington, TX

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: 7 PM - 7 AM

Job Description: The Neuro Med Surg unit is looking for a dedicated Travel RN with a focus on patient-centered care. The unit is equipped with 24 beds and is supported by a team comprising of 31 staff members including RNs and Techs. The patient-to-nurse ratio is 6:1, fostering an environment that promotes effective care and attention to each patient.

Responsibilities:

• Delivering comprehensive patient care on the Neuro Med Surg unit.
• Conducting assessments and developing nursing care plans.
• Administering medications and treatments as per protocol.
• Monitoring patient conditions and reporting changes to the healthcare team.
• Participating in educational initiatives for patient and family regarding stroke recovery and care.
• Using EMR (Meditech) to document and manage patient information accurately.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• BSN with current state license.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Significant experience in stroke-related care is preferred.
• 3 years of management experience is advantageous.
