Senior Director, Government Affairs

Edwards Lifesciences seeks a Senior Director of Government Affairs to lead federal advocacy strategy, build stakeholder relationships, and translate policy developments into business strategy. The role requires managing complex legislative and regulatory issues while serving as a strategic advisor to senior leadership in a Washington, D.C.-based position.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive federal government affairs strategy aligned with enterprise and patient access priorities
• Build and maintain relationships with Congress members, congressional staff, federal agencies, and external stakeholders
• Monitor legislation, regulation, and policy developments affecting medical technology, reimbursement, and life sciences
• Translate policy developments into business implications and action recommendations for senior leadership
• Lead development of policy positions, advocacy materials, and stakeholder engagement plans across complex issues

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in government, public policy, health policy, law, or related field
• Minimum 14 years of government affairs or equivalent related work experience
• Experience managing all aspects of a Political Action Committee
• Healthcare background with government relations, regulatory, or reimbursement experience in pharmaceutical or medical device companies
• Strong understanding of federal legislative and regulatory processes
• Demonstrated success building bipartisan advocacy strategies and stakeholder relationships
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for executive audiences
