You will join a team that delivers expertise to a wide variety of sectors.Your Key ResponsibilitiesManage project tasks and deliverables and assist with implementing the environmental assessment and permitting process as it applies to projectsCommunicate and liaise with a variety of project stakeholders, including clients, regulatory agencies, members of the public, and internal multi-disciplinary teams.Write and coordinate proposals and reports tailored to specific project requirementsManage project tasks and deliverables related to Environmental Programs and/or Provincial and Federal Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA)Conduct desktop studies to support regulatory requirements for various developmentsDevelop and implement consultation programs with a focus on diverse stakeholdersCommunicate and liaise effectively with project stakeholders, including internal teams, clients, regulatory agencies, and the publicWork with a group of professionals across Canada, focusing on environmental impact assessments and regulatory complianceBuild on previous client relationships to provide opportunities and support developmentActively participate in key client meetings and professional/industrial organizations to promote StantecCollaborate with Key Account Managers and Sector Leaders to achieve excellent business outcomesYour Capabilities and CredentialsStrong listening and problem-solving skillsAbility to work seamlessly with multidisciplinary project teamsCapacity to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneouslyExceptional attention to detail and communication skillsProven project management skills, delivering quality results on time and within budgetWillingness to undertake periodic short-term, regional travelSelf-motivated with excellent technical writing and public speaking skillsExperience in mentoring rising talentEducation and ExperienceA university degree or post-undergraduate college diploma in Environmental Planning, Environmental Studies, or a related field is required.Minimum 15 years of experience in project management for environmental programs, with a focus on energy, power, infrastructure, mining, industrial, and/or community development projects.Previous experience in undertaking tasks such as the Class EA process, environmental impact assessments, environmental programs, environmental compliance, and/or coordinating the acquisition of permits and approvals.Preferred Qualifications and Assets:Consulting experienceExpertise in community consultations, securing site access, and regulatory approvals, including with Indigenous communitiesProject management experience, familiarity with project financing, maintaining billable work, and ensuring successful project deliveriesActive participation in strategic planning and execution, including pre-positioning for key projects and developing RFP responsesTypical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.
