Medicaid Pending Associate Opportunity at Quality Life Services

Quality Life Services is seeking a Medical Pending Associate to join our team. The Medicaid Pending Associate is responsible for managing the Medicaid applications and eligibility process for our residents in multiple skilled nursing facilities and ensuring accounts remain accurate and up to date.

Responsibilities

Manage Medicaid applications, renewals, and pending cases from submission through determination.
Work with residents, families, responsible parties, and County Assistance Offices to obtain required documentation.
Track Medicaid applications, outstanding documentation, renewals, denials, and appeals.
Review Medicaid eligibility and patient liability determinations and communicate information to the Business Office.
Follow up with Medicaid caseworkers and agencies regarding pending applications and eligibility issues.
Maintain accurate Medicaid records and documentation.
Assist with resolving Medicaid eligibility and billing issues.
Monitor Medicaid-pending accounts and communicate potential financial concerns to facilities.
Maintain confidentiality of resident financial and personal information.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Previous Medicaid, long-term care, skilled nursing, medical billing, or healthcare financial experience preferred.
Knowledge of Pennsylvania Medicaid and long-term care eligibility preferred.
Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to manage multiple accounts and meet deadlines.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic record systems preferred.
Experience with PointClickCare is a plus.
