Role Description The Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at Universal Wellness will provide direct clinical services to individuals, couples, and families through comprehensive assessments, treatment planning, and ongoing psychotherapy. Day-to-day responsibilities include facilitating counseling sessions, documenting clinical notes, coordinating care with other providers, and using evidence-based approaches to address relationship issues, family dynamics, and mental health concerns. The therapist will engage in case consultation, participate in team meetings, and maintain compliance with all ethical, legal, and regulatory standards. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Davenport, IA, requiring consistent presence at the clinic to support clients and collaborate with colleagues. Qualifications Strong skills in Relationship Counseling and Family Therapy to support couples and families in improving communication and resolving conflict. Demonstrated expertise in Counseling and Psychology to conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and provide evidence-based interventions. Experience working with Mental Health concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and stress-related issues across diverse populations. Active state licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) or equivalent, in good standing, or eligibility for licensure in Iowa. Master’s degree or higher in Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, Psychology, or a closely related field from an accredited institution. Strong documentation, time management, and organizational skills, with attention to confidentiality and professional ethics. Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team and communicate effectively with clients, families, and other professionals.
