Work Environment

This position is based in our state-of-the-art outpatient office, equipped with the latest therapeutic technology and resources designed to optimize patient outcomes. You will work in a collaborative environment alongside other healthcare professionals, including physicians, occupational therapists, and athletic trainers, fostering an interdisciplinary approach to patient care. Your schedule will usually be Monday to Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life dynamic.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical conditions to develop customized treatment plans that address their specific rehabilitation needs.
• Work closely with patients on a one-on-one basis, maintaining a patient load of one individual per hour to ensure personalized care.
• Implement a range of therapeutic techniques tailored to promote physical recovery while minimizing the need for medication or invasive procedures.
• Utilize advanced manual therapy techniques, educational resources, and exercise therapies to enhance patients' mobility and function.
• Encourage and motivate patients throughout their rehabilitation journey, fostering a positive atmosphere that instills confidence.
• Document all treatment sessions meticulously using EMR software like WebPT, ensuring compliance with legal and organizational standards.
• Conduct follow-up evaluations to monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary for optimal patient care.
• Provide education and training for patients and families on exercises and strategies to improve long-term health outcomes.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient rehabilitation.

Qualifications

• A Master's (MPT) or Doctorate (DPT) degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required.
• A current and valid Physical Therapist license in the state of Florida.

• Proficiency in manual therapy techniques and designing targeted exercise programs for various injury types.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with patients and team members alike.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly desirable, showcasing your familiarity with typical patient cases and recovery protocols.
• Experience with EMR software, particularly WebPT, to enhance documentation and workflow efficiency.

Compensation and Benefits
