Job Title: Local Contract - Registered Nurse - Telemetry N umber of positions: 1 Years of experience: One to three years Shift: Night shifts- 36 hours Duration: 13 weeks Start Date: 01/28/2024 Hourly pay: $46.33 OT : 1.5 Weekly Pay : $1,667.88 JOB DESCRIPTION Summary Department: Nursing Administration Shift Timings: 18:30 - 07:00 Hours Monday to Friday 3 days/12 Hours Shift. Per Week: 36 Hours. 30 bed Medical Stepdown 1:3/4 nurse patient ratio with Patient Care Tech assistance Bedside monitors on unit with Central Monitoring also monitoring Every other weekend required Minimum of 1 Summer Holiday required ACLS/BCL required. Roles & Responsibilities Assist with patient care including observation and documentation of patient healthcare needs and communication of pertinent information to the registered nurse and other members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team. Assist with documentation and implementation of physician and nursing orders under the direction of the registered nurse preceptor. Implement and monitor patient care plans. Communicate, monitor and record changes in patient condition as appropriate. Actively engage and participate in transition to practice programs in order to develop clinical thinking and enhanced clinical judgment to provide safe, competent, person-centered care. QUALIFICATIONS BLS and ACLS National Institutes of Health (NIH) Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology. The ability to stand for extended periods. Strong technical skills. Knowledge of medical terminology Passionate about patient care Requires a minimum of two years of current RN Telemetry experience. Graduate from a fully accredited RN program Active unencumbered Alabama RN state license One year of Cerner experience Requirements • COVID vaccine with 2 Shots & Booster. SKILLS/ ABILITIES/ COMPETENCIES REQUIRED: Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills. Participates in relevant continuing education programs. Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients. Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise. A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital. Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
