• Help the customer to get to where they want to go while they are discovering and shopping for products.
• Leverage customer and product date to support and show the customer what's possible with their products.

Position Summary/Job Description:

• You’ll be part of the Best Buy engineering team responsible for building modular and scalable components using modern web development tools and technologies: Node.js, ECMAScript 6, React & React Native.
• Contribute to the architecture and technical direction for building features related to how a user navigates the website and interacts with their products.
• You’ll collaborate on dynamic strategies for the performance, security, and accessibility of features that will reach a massive scale and be used by a large variety of product types.
• You’ll be part of an innovation driven team that will look to define best practices for development while exploring leading edge technologies.

How much time will the resource spend pair programming? 10%-30% The team utilizes dev huddles to collaborate on work and can break out in to pairing sessions to support the development process. Skills Overview: What are the top five skills and number of years of experience required to perform this job?

• 4+ years of software engineering experience
• 2+ years of experience with React, Node, and Redux
• 1+ year of experience with React Native
• Passionate about frontend development with strong vanilla JavaScript skills
• Able to articulate technical topics to both engineering teams and non-technical partner teams
• Experience using version control systems such as Git
• Experience with unit testing (Jest, Enzyme, React Testing Library)
• Experience with automated testing (Cypress, Webdriver, etc)
• Experience with bundling technologies (Webpack, Rollup)
• Experience with JSON Graph (GraphQL, Falcor, etc)
• Understanding of frontend performance best practices
• Experience conducting code reviews and using build tools. (Github, Bitbucket, Jenkins)

What are some preferred/nice to have skills the manager is looking for?

• Passionate about technology and creative in finding new implementations for it.
• Leadership and mentoring of more junior engineers by pairing and reviewing code.
• Experience with React Native/Mobile App development.
• Experience with Cloud Infrastructure; AWS / OpenStack.
• Developed with Pattern Libraries and reusable design patterns.
• Able to articulate technical topics to both engineering teams and non-technical partners.
