Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or GED Minimum age: 21 years Valid, unrestricted Colorado driver’s license (or ability to obtain within one month of hire) Two (2) years of continuous experience as a full-time Structural Firefighter/EMT Pro Board or IFSAC Firefighter I certification (or higher) Pro Board or IFSAC Hazardous Materials Operations certification (or higher) State of Colorado EMT – EMT Basic or National Registry EMT certification and the ability to obtain Colorado State certification within one (1) month of hire. Ability to pass all pre-employment screenings (background check, drug screening, physical, psychological evaluation) Post-Employment Requirements Successful completion of the district condensed academy Completion of the following within one year of hire: NIMS I-100, I-200, IS-700 NWCG S-130/S-190 LFPD EMS Field Instruction Program IV Certification Maintain annual fitness and physical standards Maintain a valid Colorado driver’s license Salary- FF/EMT Pay Scale 2026 Annual Salary 2027 Projected Annual Salary $86,116 - Grade 4 $89,991 - Grade 4 $91,857 - Grade 3 $95,991 - Grade 3 $103,340 - Grade 2 $107,990 - Grade 2 $114,822 - Grade 1 $119,989 - Grade 1 Benefits Retirement: PERA Pension Plan Leave: Paid Sick Leave and Time Off With Pay (TOWP) Health Coverage: Medical, Dental, and Vision through PERACare 100% of employee-only medical coverage paid by District 80% of dependent medical coverage paid by District Insurance: $50,000 Life and AD&D Insurance (District-paid) Education and longevity pay on top of base salary Additional Options: Supplemental insurance, retirement savings, tuition reimbursement Application Period: Open until the first 50 applications are received or September 24, 2026, whichever occurs first.
