Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Dispatch Support in Bronx NY you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Shelter and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a shelter location you will monitor and patrol assigned areas maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents and support a welcoming environment for residents visitors and staff. You will provide exceptional customer service communicate professionally and respond to security-related concerns with integrity. What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents visitors staff and service providers while carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents resident concerns and critical situations in a calm respectful problem-solving manner following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the shelter location including common areas entrances exits and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site-specific procedures maintaining a professional and welcoming presence.
• Document incidents observations and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site management and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• A New York State Security Guard License is required.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Comfortable use of a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
