2nd Shift Production Associate - Grinder

Overview As a CPI Production Associate - Grinder in CPI’s Georgetown, Texas location, you will perform production tasks assigned by the Production Supervisor. Tasks may include operation of a spot welder, use of hand tools such as drill and sander, and cleaning/preparing metal surfaces before and after welding. You are responsible for meeting safety, quality, and productivity expectations. Responsibilities Under direct supervision, operate equipment and perform production tasks as assigned. Inspect and maintain equipment for safety compliance; notify the Production Supervisor of safety issues before operations. Inspect parts according to work-in-process inspection procedures; notify Production Supervisor or Quality Assurance Inspector of quality and/or mechanical problems. Minor repairs and equipment adjustments may be performed by the Production Supervisor and/or Setup person as needed. Work from blueprints, engineering specifications, and production schedules. Additional Responsibilities Continuously maintains a clean work area. Disposes of trash and production scrap. Assists in cleaning common areas. Performs other related duties as assigned by management. Qualifications High school or equivalent education preferred. Ability to read and understand blueprints and engineering specifications. Capable of using measuring devices as required for product inspection. Available and willing to work extended hours and/or weekends as production demand dictates.
