Position Overview
We are on the lookout for a caring and highly trained Ultrasound / Sonography Technologist to join our expanding imaging team dedicated to excellence in patient care. In this role, you will utilize advanced ultrasound technology to conduct diagnostic examinations, working closely with a collaborative network of healthcare professionals to ensure patients receive timely and accurate assessments.
Description of Responsibilities
- Conduct various ultrasound procedures, including abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small parts imaging
- Guarantee patient comfort and safety throughout each examination, clearly explaining processes to alleviate concerns
- Engage with radiologists and referring physicians to deliver high-quality images that inform critical health decisions
- Manage and maintain imaging equipment, promptly reporting any issues
- Document procedures accurately and maintain comprehensive patient records in the electronic medical system
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in ultrasound imaging techniques and best practices
Education Requirements
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related discipline
- Preferably completed a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program
Certifications Required
- Current certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or an equivalent body
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is preferred
Skills Needed
- Proficient in sonographic imaging techniques and patient positioning
