Senior Production Associate-Full Time-Midlands Transportation

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

To assure the meaningful and timely flow of donated and new goods from the donation center and loading/receiving dock through the production area to the shipping area stock room or sales floor.

To encourage and promote a mutual associate/customer relationship which enhances the profitability of Goodwill Industries.

To establish positive relationships with clients and associates to successfully implement Goodwills mission services.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. To greet customers and donors upon entering the store. 2. To physically handle processed and unprocessed goods in and out of the production area by hand machine or mechanical device or container. 3. To load and unload trucks from the distribution center. 4. To unload donated or purchased goods from donors car or truck. 5. To process donated or new goods to include sorting grading tagging hanging cleaning testing inspecting counting colorizing sizing and to assure quality control and supervise work cells to meet or exceed daily production goals. 6. To organize inventory and count processed and unprocessed goods for store orders or seasonal change. 7. To sort label and process goods for recycling. 8. To empty trash and perform general housekeeping custodial and janitorial duties as may be scheduled or assigned. 9. To be certified in the operation of a forklift and trained to operate a baler. 10. To adhere to all attendance policies. 11. To perform all other duties as assigned.

Education:

Functional reading writing and mathematical skills.

Work Experience: Previous production experience required.

Physical Requirements: Daily requirements may include climbing balancing reaching talking hearing seeing standing stooping kneeling handling lifting carrying pushing and pulling. May be exposed to dust and odors. May be required to do limited work outdoors as well as safely operate a forklift and baler.

Safety & Security: Responsible for following all safety security and money handling procedures as directed by Goodwill policy. Work Hours: As assigned by store location.

Work Attire: Each associate is expected to present a fashionable neat and clean appearance that will be reflective of Goodwills positive image in the community. Each associate is also required to abide by the dress code including wearing the required name badge where visible at all times.
