Site/Civil Project Engineer

We are seeking a Site/Civil Project Engineer to support the successful delivery of civil construction and infrastructure projects from planning through to completion. The role will suit a technically capable engineer who can coordinate site activities, manage project documentation, and work collaboratively with contractors, consultants, suppliers, and internal stakeholders. You will help ensure that projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on time, within budget, and in accordance with approved designs, specifications, and relevant regulations.


Key responsibilities will include reviewing drawings, specifications, and construction methodologies; assisting with project planning, programming, and resource coordination; monitoring site progress and quality; and resolving technical issues as they arise. You will prepare and maintain engineering records, inspection and test plans, progress reports, material approvals, quantities, and variation documentation. The position will also involve coordinating subcontractors, supporting procurement activities, contributing to cost control, attending site meetings, and communicating project updates to the project management team. You will be expected to identify risks, implement practical solutions, and promote high standards of health, safety, environmental compliance, and workmanship across the site.


Applicants should hold a degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline, together with relevant experience in civil construction, infrastructure, land development, or a similar environment. Experience with earthworks, drainage, pavements, utilities, concrete, and roadworks will be highly regarded. Strong knowledge of construction methods, quality assurance processes, health and safety requirements, and applicable technical standards is essential. You will need excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to interpret technical information and manage competing priorities. Proficiency with project management, scheduling, estimating, and document control software is desirable. A proactive attitude, attention to detail, and commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes are essential for success in this role.
