Medical Transcriptionist
Maimonides currently has a great opportunity for a medical transcriptionist to document patient encounters in real-time to streamline the work flow and improve the quality of patient care.
Responsibilities
- Documenting patient history, physical exam and treatment plan into the electronic medical record.
- Communication with provider ensuring all information is correct and complete.
- Comply with all HIPAA guidelines and maintain patient confidentiality.
- Clerical tasks as needed (chart prep before patient appointments)
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 2+ years' experience as a medical secretary or scribe/transcriptionist preferred.
- Excellent English written and verbal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Must pass basic word processing and data entry skills tests. Typing: 45 wpm (tested)
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
Pay range: USD $30.60 - USD $31.17 /Hr.
