THE ROLE

We're looking for curious, collaborative, and motivated individual who is excited to launch a career in media. As an Assistant Buyer, Paid Social , you'll play an important role in helping plan, execute, and optimize paid social campaigns for a diverse portfolio of clients.

This entry-level role is designed for individuals who are eager to learn. You'll receive hands-on training from experienced media professionals while developing expertise across the paid social landscape, media planning, campaign execution, reporting, and client service. Along the way, you'll build strong analytical, communication, and project management skills while working with leading social platforms and industry tools.

* NY based role (Hybrid work setting - in office 2-3 days a week)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

As an Assistant Buyer, you'll support Buyers and Supervisors throughout the lifecycle of paid social campaigns by:

• Assisting with planning, campaign setup, execution, and reporting across paid social platforms.
• Supporting the development of media plans, presentation decks, flowcharts, spec sheets, and campaign documentation.
• Gathering campaign data, platform costs, audience insights, and other information to support planning recommendations.
• Collaborating with internal teams including Media Operations, Ad Operations, Finance, Analytics, and Planning to ensure campaigns launch accurately and efficiently.
• Creating media contracts and maintaining accurate campaign details within internal systems.
• Monitoring campaign pacing, budgets, and delivery while helping identify optimization opportunities.
• Supporting campaign trafficking and quality assurance alongside Ad Operations and media partners.
• Assisting with campaign reporting, proof-of-performance documentation, and post-campaign recaps.
• Managing day-to-day communication with internal teams, media partners, creative agencies, and, over time, clients.
• Staying current on emerging social platforms, industry trends, and new advertising opportunities.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Interest in paid social media, digital marketing, or advertising is strongly preferred.
• 3-6+ months of hands-on experience in execution & optimization of digital media campaigns with a focus in Paid Social
• Analytical skills, both the ability to interpret overall social performance and paid campaign performance (within and beyond KPIs of social platforms)
• A passionate, resourceful, curious problem-solver.

Our hybrid work model gives employees flexibility while supporting collaboration, mentorship, and professional growth. Assistant Buyers should expect to work from the office at least  two days per week , allowing for in-person training, team collaboration, agency meetings, and relationship building.

Salary $47-$50k - commensurate with experience (based on skills and overall qualifications)
