Job Summary

Registered Nurse – Neonatal Intensive Care Unit – Oak Lawn and Park Ridge, Illinois. This position provides specialized care for premature infants and unstable newborns requiring medical or surgical intervention. The role supports a neonatal intensive care setting with a 12-hour night schedule and assignments across both locations.

Job Details

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week; weekend rotation every third weekend.
• Assignment Dates: 11/09/2026–02/06/2027.
• Required Qualifications: Registered Nurse; minimum of 1.5 years of experience; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification; experience caring for premature infants and unstable newborns; proficiency with ventilators, including high-frequency oscillatory ventilation (HFOV), tracheostomies, chest tubes, inhaled nitric oxide, umbilical and arterial lines, intravenous drips, nasogastric tubes, gastrostomy tubes, and enteral feeding.
• Additional Information: Typical patient assignments are one registered nurse to two patients. The role includes collaboration with respiratory therapy and neonatology coverage available around the clock. A one-shift unit orientation is provided. Scrubs are provided for infection prevention.
