Treasurer

Client: Established organization Role: Treasurer Pay Range: $165,000 – $185,000 base salary Location: Middlesex County, NJ (Hybrid) Position Overview The Treasurer will serve as a key member of the organization’s financial leadership team, overseeing treasury management, financial strategy, cash flow planning, and long-term fiscal sustainability. This individual will ensure strong financial stewardship, compliance, and alignment with the organization’s mission and growth objectives. Key Responsibilities Oversee all treasury functions including cash management, banking relationships, and liquidity planning Lead financial forecasting, budgeting, and long-term financial planning Monitor investment strategies and ensure prudent asset management Partner with executive leadership to provide strategic financial guidance Ensure compliance with nonprofit financial regulations and reporting requirements Present financial reports and updates to senior leadership and the Board Oversee risk management and internal financial controls Support audit processes and maintain relationships with external auditors Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required) 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience Prior nonprofit experience preferred Excellent analytical, strategic, and communication skills Vaco by Highspring values a diverse workplace and strongly encourages women, people of color, LGBTQ+ individuals, people with disabilities, members of ethnic minorities, foreign-born residents, and veterans to apply.
