Full Stack Developer

This position will be fully remote, but working EST hours. We are looking for a full stack dev with Ecommerce, CMS (ideally headless), and Java/React Native experience.

HD Supply is looking for a Full Stack Developer to help them support their existing site while also building a modern, headless CMS-driven platform as part of a project consolidating three existing content management systems into Optimizely. This is a high-impact role focused on full stack development with a strong content-driven architecture and eCommerce integration.

Must Have Skills:

• 5-7 years experience with custom Java Development - standing up applications in Java
• Must have experience with microservices and Springboot
• 1-3 years of experience with React Native development
• Familiarity with headless architecture, REST or GraphQL APIs, and content modeling.
• Experience working on eCommerce sites or digital commerce platforms is required
• Strong problem-solving skills, a collaborative mindset, and ability to work cross-functionally.
• Hands-on experience with Optimizely CMS or other headless CMS platforms (e.g., Content Stack, Sitecore). is preferred

Nice to Have:

• Experience in migrating content from legacy CMS systems like Sitecore or Content Stack into Optimizely.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, version control (e.g., Git), and agile development practices.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

• Develop & Maintain Features Across the Stack Build and enhance user-facing functionality using React/Next.js for the front end (web and mobile web) and Java with Spring Boot for backend services, ensuring seamless UI/UX and robust server logic.
• Design, Implement & Integrate Microservices Create and update microservices to handle discrete business capabilities (e.g., product catalog, orders, payments), coordinate service APIs, and manage inter-service communication (REST/async patterns).
• Collaborate on Architecture & Technical Design Work with architects, product owners, and other engineers to plan scalable solutions, define API contracts, optimize performance, and choose patterns that support maintainability and modularity.
• Code Quality, Testing & Deployment Write clean, well-tested code with unit/integration tests, participate in code reviews, troubleshoot production issues, and support CI/CD pipelines for automated builds and deployments.
• Monitor & Improve Performance and Reliability Analyze performance data, fix bugs, reduce latency, and improve platform stability for both desktop and mobile users while ensuring secure and compliant e-commerce operations.
