Delivery Driver (Part-Time)

Description Community Options, Inc. is a national non‑profit agency providing services to individuals with disabilities in 12 states. We are seeking a Part Time Delivery Driver to work for our Vaseful Flowers and Gifts Enterprise in Edison, NJ . The Delivery Driver loads and transports arrangements to customers’ homes, businesses, municipal buildings, hospitals and any other location required, using a company vehicle. The driver also serves as a stand‑in for program transportation as needed. Starting pay is $16.00/hour Responsibilities Loads and transports flower arrangements to delivery sites, as indicated by business needs Performs any tasks needed by the shop involving driving, including but not limited to bank visits, supply pick‑up or delivery and transportation of consumers to and from homes Attends staff meetings as determined by supervisor Attends any necessary trainings Cooperates with the licensee and department staff in any inspection, inquiry or investigation Additional tasks and responsibilities may be assigned Minimum Requirements High School diploma or equivalent Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record The ability to exercise good judgment and remain calm in a crisis situation The ability to interact with a wide range of people Ability to establish a comfortable and supportive relationship with consumers Ability to read and write English Ability to lift 50 pounds Working Conditions Employee travels utilizing company‑provided vehicles Frequent lifting, stretching and other physical exertion Will be exposed to various plants and pollens Flexible schedule as determined by supervisor Why Community Options?
