Job Summary An innovative leader responsible for the La-Z-Boy In-Home Design program and personalized client solutions while reflecting the company’s ethos around people, processes, products, and brand. The role requires translating client needs into actionable design concepts, conducting insightful in-home consultations, and fortifying sales teams with design expertise. This position is instrumental in elevating the design culture and is held to the utmost standards of professionalism and integrity. Key Responsibilities Promote the La-Z-Boy In-Home Design program to draft potential design solutions, present customized portfolio presentations tailored to the client’s requirements and preferences to achieve or surpass store and individual design sales goals. Achieve annual operating benchmarks, and personal objectives. Schedule and conduct in-home consultations to understand the client’s unique needs, preferences, and vision for their space. Partner with Store and Sales Managers to provide coaching, training, and support to sales teams to improve design culture, product knowledge, sales techniques, strategies, and overall in-home design performance. Collaborate with the team to ensure execution of operational excel. What You’ll Be Doing Partnering with our Sales Associates and clients to understand their style, lifestyle, and vision for their home. Designing inspiring spaces using premium furniture, fabrics, and décor. Providing professional design consultations, including layout planning and product recommendations. Creating cohesive looks that bring comfort, style, and functionality together. Qualifications Passionate about home furnishings, design trends, and creating beautiful spaces. Detail-oriented with a strong eye for color, texture, and layout. Confident working directly with clients to bring their design vision to life. Experience in design, home furnishings, or client-focused retail is a plus. Salary & Benefits Training Pay: $20 per hour for 2‑6 weeks (no commission). Average Annual Earning Potential After Training: $80,000 – $110,000+ (inclusive of base, bonus, and commission). Post‑Training Pay: Base Pay – $26,000 per year. Commission & Bonus: Earn more with UNCAPPED commission on written sales – 3.5% on La‑Z‑Boy Design Sales and 2% on other sales. Monthly bonus opportunity of up to $2,000 based on meeting specific individual sales goals. The company will not pay less than state/local minimum wage requirements.
