Quality Inspector

JSG is seeking a Quality Inspector for our client in Hauppauge NY. The selected candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards for electronic components and assemblies. Pay $23/hour Required Skills Proven experience as a Quality Inspector in an electronics environment (2+ years preferred) Strong knowledge of inspection techniques, including reading and interpreting engineering drawings and datasheets Proficiency with inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, microscopes, and magnifiers Familiarity with standards like IPC-A-610, J-STD-001, ISO-9001 Excellent documentation and record-keeping skills Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and ERP/MRP systems Attention to detail and manual dexterity for handling small components Nice to Have Skills Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles Technical certifications in quality or electronics Additional knowledge of manufacturing documentation or quality systems Preferred Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or certification in electronics or quality preferred Other Requirements Ability to sit or stand for extended periods and handle small components with manual dexterity Visual acuity for detailed inspections under magnification Commitment to following safety procedures and workmanship standards (IPC-A-610 & J-STD-001) Johnson Service Group (JSG) is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
