The Goddard School is seeking assistant teachers in our 1-year-old program our StuyTown location. There are openings for both lead and assistant teachers in this age group.

This brand new, state-of-the-art preschool facility has ;

• 15 classrooms
• All classrooms equipped with phones, Apple iPad’s & Bluetooth speakers
• Fully stocked supplies room including arts & crafts
• On site indoor gym and private outdoor play spaces in StuyTown
• Face recognition for school entry

As an Employee, you will receive the following Benefits:

• Twenty-Seven (27) paid personal days (Yes 27!!!) per year as follows:
• Ten (10) paid personal days per calendar year
• Five (5) paid personal days between Christmas and New Year's Day when the school is closed
• Seven (7) paid holidays per calendar year.

Educational Qualifications

A lead teacher must have an associate's degree in early childhood education or a related field. A bachelor's degree is preferred.

Teacher Responsibilities

• Establishing and maintaining a safe, healthy and nurturing learning environment
• Supporting each child’s social and emotional development
• Establishing positive and effective family relations and communication
• Implementing creative, engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans
• Maintaining routine and structure in the classroom

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour
