Travel Physical Therapist - Outpatient
American Traveler
American Traveler is seeking an Outpatient Physical Therapist with 2+ years of experience and prior travel assignment history to treat orthopedic patients at a multi-disciplinary medical center.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent PT experience within the last 7 years required
- At least 1 previous travel assignment required
- Current BLS certification required
- License required if applicable
- Experience with orthopedic conditions including DDD, DJD, frozen shoulder, hip and knee injuries, low back pain, osteoarthritis, and post-op spinal, shoulder, and cervical surgery
- Proficiency with assistive devices and equipment such as crutches, gait belts, walkers, and slings
- Experience applying modalities including cryotherapy, e-stim, moist heat, and TENS
- Skilled in documentation including evaluations, plans of care, short/long term goals, and reassessments
- Charting system experience required
Responsibilities
- Outpatient clinic setting within a multi-disciplinary medical center
- Patient population ranges from teens to older adults with a mix of non-surgical and post-operative orthopedic cases
- 5x8 day shift schedule with flexible start and end times between 8:00 and 17:30
- 13-week assignment length
- Responsibilities include patient assessment, treatment planning, home exercise program development, and patient/family education
- Site offers physician support and scenic views of the Baltimore Inner Harbor
- Sports medicine experience preferred
- No more than 7 days of RTO permitted per 13-week contract, with none allowed in the first two weeks of the assignment
- 60-mile radius applies for determining local candidate status
