Litigation Paralegal

They must have a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with either a paralegal certificate or a degree in paralegal studies. Position Description Prominent law firm of more than 400 attorneys and professionals is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join its Charlotte, NC office. This is a senior level position requiring someone with at least 7 years litigation paralegal experience. Duties Assist in all aspects of discovery and eDiscovery, including document management and review, document production, written discovery and depositions. Cite-check legal memoranda. Research case filings, public records, and public background information. Draft, review, and proof correspondence and legal documents such as motions, memoranda, affidavits, and other pleadings. File documents in all levels of federal and state courts, both electronically and in hard copy. Assist with preparation for and attend hearings, arbitrations and trials as needed. Serve as a mentor and subject matter expert for junior and mid-level paralegals. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Regular in-person attendance is required to perform essential functions of this interactive position. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field preferred with either a paralegal certificate or a degree in paralegal studies. Minimum of 7+ years of demonstrated experience in the Litigation practice area, particularly with large and complex cases and/or government investigations. Proficiency with computer technology, MS Office Suite, litigation and e-discovery platforms (e.g., Relativity), and case management software required. Candidates must have a high level of attention to detail, with excellent communication and client service skills.
