Class A CDL Semi-Local Driver

Job Description

Join a dedicated CDL-A fleet that offers consistent freight, dependable home time, and a stable customer-focused operation. This semi-local position is ideal for drivers looking for reliable miles, no-touch freight, and the opportunity to work with a dedicated retail account while enjoying steady year-round work.

Drivers on this account deliver freight from distribution centers to retail store locations with backhaul opportunities throughout the week. With no-touch freight, assigned equipment, and consistent freight volumes, this position provides the stability and work-life balance professional drivers are looking for. Drivers willing to obtain a Hazmat endorsement may also qualify for additional pay on placarded loads.

Job Details

Semi-local dedicated account
Pick up freight from distribution centers and deliver to retail store locations
No-touch freight
Backhaul opportunities as needed
Dedicated customer freight
Consistent freight volumes throughout the year

Equipment

Assigned equipment
No slip seating
Modern, well-maintained fleet
No passengers allowed
Drivers may bobtail home with management approval
Trailers remain at the terminal during home time

Requirements

Valid Class A CDL
Minimum 3 months of Class A CDL driving experience
Strong safety record
Professional appearance and attitude
Strong customer service skills
Ability to maintain positive working relationships with customers, warehouse personnel, drivers, and office staff

Special Requirements

Drivers may be required to assist other accounts when freight volumes are low
Hazmat endorsement is not required but is encouraged
Hazmat endorsement costs are reimbursed by the account
Placarded Hazmat loads pay an additional $50 per load
