POSITION TITLE: Clinical Supervisor REPORTS TO: Clinical Program Director
POSITION SUMMARY
The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for the oversight, coordination, and quality assurance of clinical services at Heal Together Counseling Center (HTCC). This position ensures that all services are delivered in accordance with evidence-based practices, ethical guidelines, and state and federal regulations, including Medicaid and ASAM criteria. The Clinical Supervisor provides supervision and leadership to clinical staff, ensures documentation compliance, and promotes a culture of recovery, accountability, and professional growth.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Clinical Oversight Provide clinical supervision to counselors, case managers, and peer support staff per Kentucky Administrative Regulations (e.g., 908 KAR 1:370 & 908 KAR 2:250). Review and sign clinical documentation to ensure compliance with Medicaid, ASAM, and agency standards. Monitor treatment plans, assessments, progress notes, and discharge summaries for quality, timeliness, and clinical integrity. Conduct regular case reviews and chart audits to ensure appropriate level of care and adherence to best practices. Oversee clinical delivery of IOP and OP services including group therapy, individual therapy, family sessions, and crisis interventions. Staff Supervision and Development Facilitate individual and group clinical supervision meetings in compliance with credentialing and regulatory requirements. Provide coaching, feedback, and professional development opportunities for clinical staff. Participate in hiring, onboarding, and evaluating clinical personnel. Ensure staff maintain required licensure and continuing education. Program Administration Collaborate with the Clinical Program Director to ensure service delivery meets performance and billing standards. Assist in the development and implementation of clinical policies and procedures. Support quality improvement initiatives, outcome tracking, and compliance audits. Monitor and report on productivity, caseloads, and program performance indicators. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, treatment team reviews, and client case conferences. Client Care and Clinical Support Provide direct clinical services as needed, including assessment, treatment planning, and counseling. Support crisis response, risk assessment, and safety planning for clients. Ensure coordination of care with community partners, referral sources, and family supports. Promote trauma-informed, person-centered, and culturally competent care practices.QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field. Licensure: Must hold an active independent clinical license in Kentucky (e.g., LCSW, LPCC, LMFT, LCADC, or equivalent). Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of post‑graduate experience providing direct services to individuals with substance use and/or co‑occurring disorders; at least one (1) year in a supervisory or leadership role preferred. Knowledge: Proficient understanding of ASAM criteria, treatment planning, and documentation requirements. Familiarity with Kentucky Medicaid behavioral health regulations and payer requirements. Experience in evidence-based practices such as CBT, MI, and relapse prevention models.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Strong leadership and team‑building abilities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to maintain compliance with documentation and billing standards. Skilled in clinical decision‑making, problem solving, and crisis management. Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems and clinical documentation. The employee will work indoors and outdoors, as well as within a wide range of aftercare rental properties. This position will include travel of a reasonable distance.MENTAL DEMANDS
There are several daily deadlines associated with this position, which may cause significant levels of stress for some individuals. The position will work with clients, staff, and family members on a variety of issues.WORK EXPECTATIONS
Must be able to work well with other staff and clients. Some travel required. Minimum of 40 hours per week. Possibility of evening or weekend work as on call requires, or in case of emergency.AT-WILL EMPLOYER STATEMENT
